They translate science of everyday living for farmers, families and communities to foster a healthy and prosperous Georgia. They provided research and education through a network of committed specialists, agents and volunteers to help Georgians learn, grow and do more.

Find Your Extension Agent

Extension Agents are based in your county and are here to help you by providing recommendations in soil fertility, pest management, water quality, herd health, and much more.

Jorneryman Farmer Program

UGA Extension and partners have developed the Journeyman Farmer Certificate Program to provide a comprehensive training program for beginning farmers.

Natural Resource Conservation Service (NRCS)

The NRCS works with landowners to restore and protect the productivity of their farms. Many times, this involves implementing conservation practices on the land.

Farm Credit is a leader in providing credit and insurance services to farmers, ranchers, agribusiness, and rural residents. They also offer workshops to help beginning farmers understand farm business planning.
