Apple's iPod Touch, iPhone and iPad
As Assistive Technology
With technology advancing faster than most of us can adapt, it is often difficult to see the usefulness of the latest gadget. However the iPad and iPod Touch can be used for more than just listening to
music or playing games. They offer great possibilities as
assistive technology devices. From sign language to memory aides, there are applications for almost
every need. Participants will be assigned an iPod Touch
to use during the workshop for a unique hands-on
experience.
- Participants will receive continental breakfast and a resource guide.

Approved for 4 contact hours through the University of Georgia, Georgia Occupational Therapy Association (GOTA) and Physical Therapy Association of Georgia (PTAG).

Rebecca Brightwell
Instructor
Rebecca Brightwell is the Associate Director of the Institute on Human Development and Disability (IHDD) at the University of Georgia. IHDD is a large research, education and outreach department at UGA that focuses on developmental disabilities. She also serves as the Project Manager for the AgrAbility grant project. She has vast experience with assistive technology applications and business planning for individuals with disabilities.
